About Us
A Family Wine Tradition Since 1538!
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Madinger Wines. The Mödinger family has been making wine in Germany since 1538 and so when Chuck Madinger decided to open his shop in 1986 he began by specializing in German wines. Over the years we have grown to inlcude wines from all over the world and have enjoyed providing our clients with personally selected vintages ever since. We taste every wine we buy to provide superior quality and great value. As Chuck approached “retirement” his search for someone to continue his vision led him to Dan and Julie Garland, who through their diligence and hard work, have successfully brought Madinger Wines into the 21st century.
The services that we offer include:
Wine Tastings
The best way to buy wine is to taste it! Our informal presentation can be enjoyed by you and your guests either at your home or office or, if you prefer, in our ample wine tasting room. Your wine consultant will bring a selection of wines tailored to suit your taste. This unique service provides you with the luxury of sampling our wines before they are purchased - no more pondering at the grocery store wine section!

Classes
This service offers you the opportunity to supplement the knowledge gained from our wine tastings. Our classes, which are held in our classroom at Madinger Wines, feature Emerging Varietals, German, Californian, French, Australian, Italian, and Portuguese wines. We concentrate on the unique qualities of each country, including climate, soil conditions, grape varieties, and wine laws.
And of course we will taste the wines!
We can also bring these classes to you if a large enough group is interested.
Wine Storage
We specialize in the custom design of all types of storage units. Our knowledge of wine, combined with this design capability, can provide you with the ideal solution to your storage needs. We can deliver directly to your door everything from a small countertop wine rack to a completely enclosed and refrigerated wine cellar.
Gifts
We recognize that wine is becoming one of the most popular gifts to give. With this in mind we offer a wide selection of imported gift boxes and baskets which have been designed to fit a variety of gift-giving occasions or which can be customized to fulfill your wishes. We also offer custom labeling, bottle etching, and silk-screening. It is our goal to design gifts that provide the best value for dollar spent. Be sure to request our Gift Catalog.
Wine Consultants
One of the things that sets us apart is our Wine Consultants. We are available to answer any questions you may have about any of our products or services. We are nice people who are knowledgeable about wine and will help you find enjoyable wines that are well priced. We can also make recommendations to pair food with wines that will enhance both. We can also help recommend tours to our vintners' locations so you can learn more about wines - plan your next vacation!
When selecting wines we always make it a point to consider our guests’ tastes as well as making recommendations from our own. A white wine as well as a red can be in order. But remember when it comes to taste, if it tastes good to you it's a good wine...and that's the bottom line!

I have been buying, enjoying and collecting wines for many years and in all parts of the country. Madinger Wines exceeds my expectations in every way. Their customer service, attention to details and the selections of wines and gift baskets are not to be duplicated. You may taste many of the wines they offer before you purchase them and I have not seen a better gift idea for those of us who enjoy wines. I learned of Madinger wines when I received a gift box full of great German Wines, presented in the most beautiful and tasteful gift box, and have been a loyal customer ever since....
